i recently purchased a cheap samsung clp310 (colour printer) for 180 but then in an attempt to install some sort of chip to allow refilling of toner i fucked it up lol.
so now i am looking to buy a new cheap laser printer with cheap toner - i dont mind refilling, as long as its not too complicated.
Anyone wanna recommend a cheap laser printer? preferably colour but im also considering mono

cant go wrong with brother... they dont use chipped ink meaning u can use generic which are inexpensive when compared to genuine

for example: Genuine Brother ink 3 pak =$60.00
non-genuine brother ink pak 16 cart = $39.00

stay away from hp

Anyone know where I can get a cheap brother hl-2140/hl-2142? I've heard good things about Officeworks ($70~90ish?). Anywhere else?

Wth it's so expensive now. They've really jacked up the prices over the past few months. $139 for the Brother HL-2142 at Officeworks and $96 for the Brother HL-2140 at Dick Smith. Too bad I can't get the $40 cashback with Dick Smith. Suggestions?

No idea. On the brother cashback website it says:
Products purchased from BIG W, Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith Powerhouse or Tandy are not eligible for cashback.
