I need to find legislation enacted as a result of the changing composition of society. ie- I need something that was created to protect migrants or different races in Australia. (Not the RDA!)

I also need an act has has failed in achieving justice (possibly related to workplace, but if you can't then nevermind).

How about the 'Equal Employment Opportunity Commonwealth Authorities Act 1987 (Cth)'?

Family Law Act 1975. Marriage Act (and Amendments, such as MARRIAGE AMENDMENT ACT 1976 No. 209, 1976 which inserted S. 111A which abolished a cause of action for breaking off a marriage after engagement).

It isn't limited to racial things only. Economic things count too (you could also talk about the Workplace Relations Act 1996 if you wanted etc etc, current Howard reforms to IR). There's a lot to talk about.
