Hello
Just wondering if you guys can help me with this question. The question is from Maths in Focus Chapter 12 Exercise12.4

Q2. i) Write each polynomial as a product of its factors
ii) Sketch the graph of the polynomial

e) p(x)= -x^4 + 2x^3 +3x^2

My way of sketching it is to recognise that the curve is a negative quartic (therefore sad face = Concave down overall).

1. Has a double root at x=0

2. Single roots at x=-1 and x=3.

Put the pieces of the puzzle together.

EDIT: Thread moved to Mathematics.

I actually do it similar to your method (personally i think it is much faster), but i'm assuming that he does it like maths in focus way for school so yeh :/ choose the way which is most suitable for you :)
