Is it just me or are the eureka drills much easier than the puzzles?

In the exams I seem to do very well in them and not get caught as much but the exams have more pick the middle and pyramids which always screw me.

Definitely ALOT easier. And the wrong types of questions too. Lots of them are belong to you types you will never see in UMAT.
