How do people like their meat? I cannot eat anything other than well done. I literally inspect every piece of meat to make sure it’s perfectly cooked. Weird phobia I have.

My friends always tell me medium rare beef is soo much better but I just can’t.

EDIT: Literally writing this while I inspect every piece of chicken on my pizza to make sure it’s perfectly cooked.

I’m wondering if this is an ethnic thing? I like my meat on the medium-rare side (apart from chicken which has to be fully cooked) but I’ve noticed that it’s a typical Viet/Chinese to eat well done.

for some reason I can get behind sashimi but can’t stomach the idea of carpaccio/tartare (French raw beef dishes).

My wife said in her hometown in Asia well done beef was the way to go to ensure it was "safe to eat" but it's only in more recent years after living abroad/eating good quality beef, she's moved to a medium/medium rare (like me).

I'm guessing u well done people don't eat anything that's raw? E.g. sashimi?

I just dislike anything less than well done (concerns beef only) though I do like raw fish
The number of people getting food poisoning from Chicken due to Salmonella on school camps makes me surprised that meat-based dishes weren't served "well done" but instead raw.

How do people feel towards raw egg yeah or nah?

Personally for me depends on how close it is to best before/use by date.

Yeah, esp my primary school camp, that was horrid.

Perfectly okay, sometimes I put it in a glass, add some hot sauce and chug it.

Not getting food poisoning from chicken is where I excel at.

There’s this place on our campus that for some reason doesn’t cook chicken properly and sometimes it’s fully raw. I went there once but because I inspect thoroughly every piece, I was able to take out the ones which weren’t properly cooked. Never went back there again though.

Ew. That’s gonna taste soo bad. Raw as in you just crack the egg and pour it in your mouth???
