So I've come across a few similar types of questions where you have to work out the direction of induced current or electron flow, but I always seem to get the opposite direction than what the answer says. Can someone explain how to get the correct answer here.
Thanks

This question isn't really about the flow or direction of induced current its more about what direction more electrons are concentrated because a force is sending them that way.

So you use the left hand palm rule. Fingers point into the page, thumb in direction of velocity and therefore ur palm faces towards the left, meaning P is the answer.

Don't you mean right hand palm rule?

You can use both. Since its asking for greatest concentration of electrons, you need to point your thumb in the opposite direction from conventional current if you're using RHPR.
