Hi

Like everyone doing Modern History we are currently studying the new syllabis.

With the personality section, as from the specimen paper, it is broken up into two parts. First part worth 10 marks just wants students to outline his role to prominance. However it is the second part which is much higher order and requires more skill. These are three of the 15 markers that i have come across.

1. ‘Those who are inspired by an ideal rather than self-interest make the biggest
impact on history.’
To what extent does the study of your personality support this view? (15 Marks)

2.
People who are remembered by history are those who have pursued their goals with a single-minded purpose.’
To what extent does the study of your personality support this view. (15 Marks)

3.
‘Only those men and women who put their own interests above all else have any effect on history.’
To what extent does the study of your chosen personality prove the truth of this statement (15 Marks)

Could anyone provide any helpful tips or notes or anything on these three questions in regards to this 15 marker, It is something that is completely new and quite different to previous years
Thanks for your help
