a) Describe the diversity and numbers of organims at a fossil site you have studied. 2 marks

Fossil site:........................

b) using the information in part a, explain what you have learnt about the nature of the site at the time the fossils formed.

Not an EES student but I will try and help:

http://www.hsc.csu.edu.au/earth_environmental/core/time/9_3_4/934net.html#net8 -- could use the sites mentioned here and turn the question into a research project if you didn't go to a site visit.
http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.a...th-environmental-science-marking-guide-12.pdf -- how the question would have been marked
http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.a...vironmental-science-hsc-sample-answers-12.pdf -- sample response to question (although, I don't know what band response this was).
http://www.sciencepress.com.au/comp...dot-point-hsc-earth-and-environmental-science (May be handy for revision, as I used some of these DotPoint books for my science courses when I completed the HSC)

Bugger, unfortunately I don't know anyone who is/ has done EES that could give you a hand. Hopefully, there is another EES student out there who is currently doing the course that can help.

Good Luck~
