if u were to describe Frank's change by the end of the play broadly, how would you? like i know he became more confident and stuff, but he didn't change like Rita who had a reason and determination to change.
I guess i'm trying to ask why did Frank change? what did he change from and into?

I think through knowing Rita-her fresh approach to life and learning and willingness to take risks-and his own experiences at the university and with Julia-he's learnt that he needs to face up to the reality of who he is-that he has a drinking problem and that he's not going to be a world class poet. He's ready to start on a new challenge-moving to Australia and a different image/way of life, symbolised by his new haircut. Life changes. Rita is moving on, and he needs to.
