Hi there,

Well, I am having trouble with footnoting and bibliography(-ing) of films. Right now, im referencing books as:

Tasker, Yvonne. Working Girls: Gender and Sexuality in Popular Cinema. London: Routledge, 1998

in a bibliography and

Yvonne Tasker, Working Girls: Gender and Sexuality in Popular Cinema (London: Routledge, 1988), PAGE.

as a footnote...

So how do I do a film? How do you all do a film?
I was thinking something like...

DIRECTOR, FILM. Studio, YEAR

How are you all doing it?

Looking to see what I've done for books and articles...
Simply Charming, Ara Jansen, The West Australian, 19 April, 2004
Mothers of Feminism: The Story of Quaker Women in America, Margaret Hope Bacon, Harper & Row, New York, 1986
etc,

So...
title, Author, Publisher, Country, Year
(just for footnotes, flip the author and title for bibliography...)

But for a film... wait, we got this huge stack of stuff on referencing, I'll go see if a film one is there...

Found it :D But there's two versions...

VERSION 1

Author (if known), Date, Name of Program (Video)<meaning you write video there>, Place, Publisher

eg. Sarkozi, D. 2000, Year 12 Farewell (Video), Darlinghurst, SCEGGS Darlinghurst
(no, I didn't make up the thing, it's an example written here...)

VERSION 2

1. Series title (full stop)
2. Series number (full stop)
3. Title (underlined OR italics) (full stop)
4. Year (in brackets) (full stop)
5. Place of publication (full stop)
6. Publisher (full stop)
7. Date of transmission (comma)
8. Medium:Format (in square brackets) (full stop)

eg. Fragile Earth. 5. South American Weekend. (1982). London: BBC. 17 October, {video:VHS}

(note: the {}s should be the square brackets, but if I type them they'll think it's a formatting command)
