anyone have notes on any related material they could trade me for something?????????????? ive got lear, emma cluelss, frontline, harwood......

Have you seen Gosford Park? It great for how the traditional soft boiled is sooo static and recognisable that it can be used to convey the director/authors thoughts on the class system, the story itself is secondary to this exploration of English Class system

I also read a story from the 'New Gate Callender' a true crime pamphlet from England in the 18th century. Even if you havent read them they are great to refer to, just say that they were stories without any complications or detectives and that the reflect (context) the christian organic society

I'd also recomend an Agatha Christie, they are great to talk about it relation to the genre being static (do you know the detective decolgue? cause if you do it is interesting to note that she breaks one rule from it in every novel)
