i am well fucked, my folks said that if i fail a subject this semester they will pull me out of college and i will have to do my course externally.
and due the the fact that i failed 2 subjects this semester and 1 last semester :( , my chances of staying on at duval are slim and none.. FUCK!
im gunna have to talk em round somehow :(

college life seems better. anyway, if youre failing have you considered changing courses? maybe if you tell your parents that youll do something youre interested in youll do better.

just convince them that you are more likely to pass subjects if you live in college cause there is more academic support on campus then there is at home, so tell them that you will go and get support from your tutors and faculty mentor and all those people (plus you have to go back because you are PT rep)

College offers a lot of distractions, and i'm guessing your parents know this. A 37.5% failure rate is most likely worrying them as well when really your only purpose of being there is to get a degree (in their eyes). It sounds like they are supporting you financially so don't consider it parental support, consider it a scholarship, and you missed the mark for continuing funding.

Doing things externally isn't so bad unless you are doing some insanely hands on course that requires access to specialised equipment.

Out of curiosity what subjects did you fail?

i heard the econ 102 exam was a killer.

i'm sure your parents will understand the importance of you staying in college.

Mine on the other hand............................no removal from college...................................they are just gonna kill me :( even though technically i didnt fail anything

hmm those look like core subjects for your degree. At least it wasn't COMP100. STAT100 destroys a lot of hopes of finishing though so I hope you pass that one if it's still in the core. Are any of them offered over summer semester? I caught up with my degree that way. Could also be that you freak out during exams, I had a friend who did that, assignments all HD and then come the exam he just clams up, studied real hard too.

Also the social aspect of college can be too much sometimes, you'll notice how people slowly drop off, maybe it's not the best environment for you academically?
