Can anyone recommend a good series? I've watched TWD, GoT and I'm over Breaking Bad.

Preferably something new + a fantasy/sci-fi twist but I'm open to anything.
Dexter! Personally I'm hooked on TwD right now, Mad Men S02 onwards next =D

I've caught up on some reading and games since I'm in hermit mode because Christmas is eating all of my money.

So bored!

Holy shit you still haven't found one. Have you decided what your thesis is going to be?

I don't know about your faculty but it is generally recommended to have decided on your supervisor and thesis topic before the end of the year. That way you can use the summer holidays to get ahead and read a few papers.

I have to admit I don't seen that many people doing honours this year considering how many people do my degree.

Communication this front has been quite poor though. They haven't really provided any details regarding how honours operates in the faculty. From what I can see, it's just operating on hearsay.

How about no.
lol yes!!

I was just at uni checking my marks for shit (ofc chem engg didn't let me) and for 1903 I got like:
MC - 7/20
1 - 7/10
2 - 0/10
3 - 7/10
4 - 7/10
~46.38%
So like 51 overall went to 51 overall

Where in the FUCK was the scaling?!

For 1905 I got like:
MC - 6/20
SA - 5/74
14.89%
So like 27 went to 36 overall lol

Yay

Not when I'm trying to read ahead and the proof of every interesting theorem is left as an "exercise". They literally do this on every. damn. page. There aren't any hints for the proof questions in the answer key either.

I was anticipating something like that for chem eng. I never ended up sending an email.

This mark is like a black scar on my soul.

I know. It's fucking annoying. lol

Yeah... but I actually have a right to see it or something don't I? I'll keep going over people's heads until I get to the VC to fucking see it. :3

Really? lol
My friend got 83 and it was his highest mark ever.
His highest mark in HSC was ~93 in maths then 87 in chem.
You should feel bad. :D (Y)

The point is you only get the proofs when you go to the lectures and tutes.

Do you think I still have a chance to make some kind of appeal given that it's been a week since the marks were released? I'm with you all the way if you're taking this further.

I wasn't that stressed about this initially so I thought I'd just let it slide. But now some of the people in my group actually ended up doing slightly better than me and they're being dickish about it.

Those crafty bastards.

(This was for a textbook though).

You mean the Daners notes or the old Howlett notes?
