If yoy are given 4 points and are asked to test whether it is a trapezium rectangle or parallogram how would you do that?

Prove 2 sides are parallel using the gradient between two points formula. (the lines between two of the points)

Then test if the other two sides are parallel. if they are, its a parallelogram, and if not its a trapezium.

Drawing a diagram will help.

yeah draw a diagram, that would help heaps

i think u can find the gradients of all the lines (shudn't take too long)
if the adjacent sides gradients multiply to give -1, then its a rectangle,
if only one pair of sides are parallel, then its a trapezium
if both are parallel then its a parallelogram (but mite be a rectangle also, just check with the first case i stated)
