hi everyone.

I got a question concering text books

I already know which text book to buy for Session 1 Bio1201, and i was wondering, what's the difference if I got it now, compared to if i get it after the first lecture?

Is it cheaper once I get my student ID or something??

Do I get discount?

You might not actually need it, so wait.

You can expect UNSW's co-op bookshop to be already cheaper than RRPs. There are no discounts for showing your student ID.

So there is no difference in prize if you are from UNSW or a stranger buying from the UNSW bookshop??

Always wait before you get textbooks. You definitely won't need them for at least the first week. If you are looking for a cheap deal, you'd be amazed at how many people want to sell textbooks second-hand. Pay a visit to uni if you can and have a look at some of the second-hand book noticeboards. There's also a Second-hand bookshop in lower campus. If your bio text is a really popular one like Campbell, then there'll be secondhand copies of the latest edition floating around everywhere.
