Roughly wat do u guys think it would be assuming u got pretty regular UMAT results?(in terms of UAI)

My friend got 99.65 UAI but average mark for UMAT and he didn't get Jan. interview.

Well I did mine in September but I'm worried now.

When I recall my memories from the info day the Professor said that the average UAI last year was 99.6 for UNSW MED crazy!

i remember reading somewhere, majority of the students got well over 98.
However, there were still quite a few between 95-97.

I got friends who got in with 98.35 and 98.75 and their umats where low 200s (percentile)

So just sit back and see how it all turns out

umm heaps of ppl with lik scores ranging from 98.7 to 100 were not accepted to UNSW ..
if u had a good day with interview .. mabbe.. ull make it.. at least with a higher UAI u got a lil more room..

Yeah I feel ya Alvin- I got an even higher UAI and stuffed up my interview. My first one, to say the least.

ppl with lower UAIs and UMATs.. but better interviews got in... irony.. is that Adel uses the interview as the prime indicator

they take umat/uai/interview into account equally
depends on how badly your interview went i suppose
but if you got a kickass uai then even a barely avg interview could get you in (provided you got good umat scores too)

don't feel that way, just make sure once you start, kick some 99+ uai's butts! and show them who's boss!

i also feel really blessed having gotten in, with what i thought was an average umat score (189) and an ok uai of 99.05. I must have done better in the interview than i thought!

I thought the UNSW minimum UAI cutoff was 95?

Rural students get a slight leeway in the selection process cos the govt wants more rural doctors
