pretty sure 7 is A ... because abseentism increased meaning employees were undertaking covert action to express dissatisfaction :/

total debt = 12000
total eq = 4000
debt:eq = 3:1 ?

3:1 is greater than the ind. avr. which is 2:1
ergo the answer B, debt:eq > ind avr?

thats my logic behind it anyways :S

Yeah it was (B) for the D2E question

and the only figure that changed was days lost to absenteeism hence covert action :)

the answer to 9 is definately A....the calculation you should have gotten for debt-equity is 3:1...this means that there is more DEBT than the industry average of 2:1 therfore it is BELOW industry average it does not EXCEED it..hence the answer being A..essentially the better the business is doing (ie less debt) then then it would exceed the acerage if debt was lower than the industry average...but it wasnt)

How come?

I'm certainly sure it is unfair dismissal at worst equal employment opportunity

thats the question i'm confused abt...
since its 3:1 it obviously 'exceeds' 2:1 in terms of number..
but not sure if 'exceeds' means betta than..
i put B

im guessing the answer to 19 SHOULD be A....although both A and B are correct...i think A is MORE correct because it is dealing directly with unfair dismissal..he/she would be complaining unfair dismissal on the grounds of discrimination rather than going straight for anti-discrimination laws...

unfair dismissal legistlation lists the proscribed reasons which are unlawful for the dismissal of an employee:
race, colour, sex, sexual preference, age, physical or mental disability, maritial status, family responsibilities, pregnancy, religion, political stance, national extraction or social origin. however, the legistlation provides that it will not be unlawful to dismiss someone ifthe reason is based on any one requirement of that job

19 is definatly A, because the person was dismissed unfairly, thus unfair dismissal.

and isn't 12 A. i say it cant be c, bcuz if sales are increasin then the net profit ratio over sales would decrease becuz the percentage of net profit over sales would be less due to the increase in sales.
