Most of us have finished trials now, so I thought I would make a thread for sharing our school trial papers. I can post mine, but a lot of them are independent/exam choice, which I'm not sure is alright to post on this site. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest people load past trial papers onto our Notes and Resources section so they last long after this thread disappears.

Also be mindful you’re not breaking any copyright laws, especially if the papers come from a private company.

just upload trials even if they are copyright, we all are trying to do well in the HSC and shouldn't let some copyright law stop us from that

That is something I wouldn't do because you are not the one who will get in trouble it will probably be the site. If a lot of people did that a company might try to have this website deleted

Yeah it sucks that these companies have such strict copyright laws, and I agree it would be beneficial to our hsc to have access to these papers, but it isn't worth the risk. All we can hope now is that people who go to schools that write their own trial papers will upload them. I just wish more schools wrote their own trial papers and people shared them so we could actually get some practice material for subjects like physics and chem that have a new syllabus.

I'd say screw it and post it anyways. I believe you guys will be the first cohort to sit the new Science and English syllabus, and that there is a lack of resources. Maybe do it via email or something so this site doesn't get blamed.

Well do you know where I can get some 2019 physics trial papers that aren't copyrighted?

A lot of the content from physics old syllabus is still relevant (only about 20% of the syllabus is different) so the first thing I would use is the HSC exam papers from before. Other than that you can try other state's exams like VCE (you will have to be able to pick out which questions are relevant). Aside from that NESA released a sample HSC exam paper for physics, as well as a questions document that has like 80 pages or so. Apart from that textbook questions for calculations are good (not so much for writing questions) but by next year there will probably be more materials available

Also, by the way fairly soon I will be sorting through the HSC papers from the past and putting them by topic for one of my students for physics tutoring so I will upload those here

Thanks that will be extremely helpful! Also I didn't know about the 80 pages of questions from NESA which is also very helpful! I might be able to state rank physics now because of you!! 🤣 (not really)

Do you know if any big selective/private schools that write their own papers (Ruse, Baulko, Grammar etc) have received their trial papers back yet?
