Hello.
Does the university you attend dictate what position job employers will offer you?
So say you go to Macquarie to study something in business say atar of 85 and someone else goes to UNSW for atar of 96.
The Mac. student does very well and the UNSW does very well as well, is there a difference? Like, will employers employ you because you attended the perceived "better" university?

Forget about personality for the time being. Just based on skills, they have the same skills, but different instits.

Is this for graduate jobs or for general jobs whilst still at uni?

In the finance industry, prestige does play a role in employment. If you're applying for things like IB,unless you got straight HDs they might not even read your resume in some cases. Note prestige plays a very small part for things like the big 4. It's more of a conversation starter, so your interviewer went to UNSW too, you can talk about it for abit.etc.. This is taking in the fact you're similar in everything else(expect personality of course).

I would say yes in most cases but to what extent would depend on the interviewer, company etc.

yes, big 4 are not really concerned about which university you attended
