Not sure if this was the right section, perhaps the most appropriate? anyways, i'd like to get a new phone. It seems me my motorola e365 is giving me the shits, the laggy menu and lack of picture sending support over vodafone, and only 2mb memory really just doesn't cut it for me.

I'd like to get a new phone, with all the bells and whistles, I'm not a big whore of ringtones etc., But I'd love for my phone to:
- do very nice photo's (1mp?) and nice video's too (perhaps webcam size or bigger, but with sound also recorded, and no time limit on recording).
- With big memory (onboard, not sit there wasting my money on memory cards, but if we can't have that, then i can buy memory cards i guess)
- brand is irrelevant, as long as its easy to obtain
- im not on any "3" network, just normal vodafone
- fast smooth menus
- sexy interface
- flip or normal phone doesnt matter
- i am not a fan of big fones, preferbly small

I have been looking at oxygen tablet, they're made in phones right? they any good?

I'd like to spend perhaps $500-$600, but if the phone is REALLY nice then I guess $800~ is reasonble

well i probably will be using my phone alot more, i calculated its $840 for $35 per month x 24 months ... and $600 outright phone + $20 x 12 = $840

and afaik its $35 per month of included phone call charges

Try ebay and have a look around if you know roughly what type of phone you want
Many many phones, and likely to be cheaper than any store

I bought a Panasonic P342i (i-mode flip phone) off ebay (brand new) for $150'ish, and they retail at telstra shops for $379

gsmarena.com

it has this thing where you click "compare" and you can compare two different phones.

and look at which one outweighs the other.
it also has people's voting etc. feedback etc. etc. comments.. shit like that.

and a forum :)

Hey thats pretty cheap.!

Did it come with that i-mode ringtone? i-i-i-i like you veeeeeeeeeeery much.

(blame it on post hsc)
I thought so too :)
And no annoying imode ad jingle..

Casmira: as long as the seller is reputable, then it should be fine

If it's photos and video you're after then the Nokia N90 is probably the best on the market for that. It comes with a 2MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, flash and autofocus. AFAIK it has 31megs of memory which can be expanded to 64mb with media cards. Some people say it looks a little on the chunky side, but maybe they have small hands?

I've found a couple of movie clips made on the actual phone you may find useful. Let me know what you think?

I've also been looking for a new phone...so far it seems to SE 750 has been getting excellent reviews. Plus if you go to the SE website you can play with the phone menus 'virtually'...

I'd also steer clear of some of the Samsungs. Have high radition outputs or SAR's...
