there are alot of HSC revision books to select from, but which ones are actually good?

excel? leading edge? macquarie revision guides?

Excel is crap
Macquarie is the best
and leading edge is great if u do eco or business

Macquarie is excellent, covers all the topics quite well
I use it for Religion, Chem & Physics
Excel Revise in A Month is also good for that last minute revision
Dont just limit yourself to books either:
The CSU Website offers a concise explanation of the syllabus dot point by dot point for more subjects than maquarie covers

i've been advised that leading edge is only good for eco, and how its really bad for business studies can anyone clarify?

excel seems to have a really mixed reputation? i see alot of ppl using it, however alot of ppl say its not good to use!

macquarie revision guides have usually positive feedback, but is it far too summarised?

i wouldn't recommend anyone to macmillian for legal studies

excel and macquarie cover modern history: WW1, indochina and germany well excel includes personalities as well thou

i like the success one books i got for chem and physic,,,, i may get em for like business and eco =/

I find study guides pretty crap overall. Your own notes are the best study guide out..

the 4 leading edge model answers are a life saver. the only "study guides" i really liked.

I find Excel very disappointing.

For maths, Cambridge and Math In Focus are good. For chemistry, Conquering Chemistry and Chemistry In Context. There's a Biology In Context too, but I don't do bio so I wouldn't know.

For revision, get the Success One books, but focus mainly on past papers.

I use Excel Physics, I was actually very disappointed in MacQuarie physics.

i use cambridge chemistry, maquarie chemistry, conquering chemistry and i was given an excel chemistry, i probably mainly use macquarie/cambridge

It depends on your subjects
Maquarie is good for legal but I found a few really bad errors, like the defence has to prove BARD
IPT none of them are good...
I dont use any for English

I reckon the best thing to do is rather than pay quite a lot of $$ all up on revision guides is that if you decide to use them then borrow them from a library! :uhhuh: Or buy them from a 2nd hand book shop! :uhhuh:
