Does anyone know where I'd be able to find some white eggs?

all commercial eggs used to be white but they've switched to brown egg laying chickens as they're more efficient. But occasionally I've seen some white eggs for sale but I don't remember where.

Duck eggs are usually white or blue so if you know where I could get some duck eggs?

Maybe a local fruit/veg shop (You've probably tried but it doesn't hurt to go again :p)? I doubt the big supermarkets would have them.

Or a small local farm if there's one nearby.

I needed them to make my easter egg tree.

I am just not happy with brown eggs.

And before the 1980's all they had were white eggs. It has to do with the chickens who lay them. The brown egg laying chickens are more efficient and there was a ridiculous theory that brown eggs were better for you, like wholemeal bread or something.

So white eggs got the boot. I ended up finding mine at a Kocher supermarket because the white eggs tend to have less spotting in them which is considered unclean so they are white Jew eggs actually.

I'm pretty sure brown eggs are better for you because shell colour is related to the chicken's diet

it of course has nothing inherently to do with being brown
