I wanted to get a job after the HSC but im going overseas in December. Any suggestions for what I can do as a job for just a month?

But no employer, is gonna let you just do one month, and is NOT that easy to get a job just off the hook, hence why Unemployment rate is high for teens

Just the training etc.. will take 3 or 4 shifts

Yes i agree with L_K, it would be very hard to convince an employer to take you on for such a short period of time, you'd have much more of a chance if you were simply doing work experience or volunteering but by the sound of it you want a paying job.

no, i dont need the money. just something to do and something to put on my CV.

Well what things would you like to do as a job ? Are you into computers, business ? Some places probably might take you on as work experience.

or do some really good humanitarian thing and do lots of volunteering; it helps others, makes you feel good about yourself and looks awesome on cv's.

oh advice,
easy to get fast food job
and since there's so many ppl working there
u can n/a as long as u want cos they're covered
that's what i did in yr 10, found a job by oct-nov, and went overseas in dec, then just simply came back to the job after trip

do fruit picking or something they normally employ backpackers so they won't expect you to hang around for long and jobs are easy to get

What the hell? What makes you think that/

There's alot of people working at one of the fast food outlets and is for $$ nothing else, so why would they end up as a bum?
