Depends, if you enjoy maths and physics, then first year shouldn't be too difficult. First year, you don't really do any specialist subjects; just generic ones like maths, physics, mechanics, computing, introduction to engineering disciplines, etc.

If you are interested in a certain field then it's not going to be too bad. Some people fall into the trap that they think engineering is easy because of it's lower atar cut-off and you know what? Some of them end up dropping out or transferring.

You're female? Are you super hot? 'Cause we need more hot chicks in engineering =p

i hope that's a major generalisation :( otherwise 4 years with just guys or lesbos :(

you do it for the course, not the girls.

if you want to find good looking girls, try arts, business, or teaching perhaps?

dont expect any in engineering, and if they are wow hot, then thats pretty rare, plus all the guys will get bored and start checking her out in the lectures lol, but that rarely happens.

sorry guys, thats how it is.

Education is awesome. I have a friend who's doing education, though she is doing maths and english, and it seems to be so breezy for her. She skips classes and she seems to be enjoying the ones she does attend. Plus, some of the education girls are hot so I guess you belong there.

Are you considering going advanced mathematics?

Instead of doing the normal maths units, you can do adv. maths units. It's just if you want more of a challenge but don't think it's worth it.

whats new buddy, im feeling that kinda pain right now

the ratio of girls to guys doing engineering is retarded, too many guys, like one or 2 girls, and if ONLY those one or two were good looking then we could attend more lectures lol

Do chemical engineering for the chicks, if you don't want to be surrounded by all boys.

Obviously this is a horrible way to choose your engineering pathway.
