Me and my friends were arguing this the other day at school and we all had different opinions.

Out of the soccer players of our time (so players you have seen) and not including past players such as Maradona, who was the best in terms of skill, ability etc.

In my opinion it is Ronaldinho due to the natural skill he had as well as his goal and assist record, but I thought it would be interesting to get other people's opinion too.

Ronaldinho disappeared off the face of the planet for ages cos he was too busy partying and getting fat.

Kept getting introuble when he came back to football for being lazy and not training enough.

is he back to form?

It is quite hard to look past Lionel Messi. Nice touch on the ball, he has pace, skill and scores a goal out of nothing. The list you have though, there are some good players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zidane, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.
Ronaldinho is good, but he kind of lost it when he went to AC Milan, so he kind of dropped down a few levels for me. Has great skills, a lovely touch, but Messi still is my clear favourite. Yes, Ronaldinho had many assists, but so does Messi.

Messi because watching him play, there are moments - several of them - where I just think that was pretty damn awesome.

I mentioned Figo purely for his insane achievements with both Barca and Real.

Also remember Messi's 4 goals against Arsenal. Fuarrrrkkkk.

Giggs > Scholes

m8, Becks, Gerrard and Casillas didn't make the list so don't fret.
