As a former student from Mac Uni (Graduated 3 years ago), I can tell you it really depends on how you work best. In my first year I put in gaps between lectures, pracs, tutes etc. which basically resulted in me spending stacks of time in the bar with friends doing nothing. And it was really hard...

es they do have an o-day and it is in the week before lectures start. I am not sre of the date. o-day is kinda lame. o-week is much better. Conception day is the best day though. (In second semester)

Hehehe... I've been to Mac Uni andfinished one degree there so I am happy to answer your questions. If you have a 2 hour lecture then it is aup to the discresion of the lecturer as to whether you get a break. You usually do. In 3 hour lectures you definately get a break. Also, o-week is...
