    whats the difference between

Just guessing here, but I'd say: - Medical Science is pretty much what it sounds like, you'd study the Science behind medicine (i.e. pharmaceuticals, various equipment, etc. etc.). - Medical Chemistry would probably focus on the pharmaceutical side of medicine, with you learning all about drugs...

    Physics prerequisites at MQ

Thanks, I'll do that. You've been very helpful.

    Physics prerequisites at MQ

Will I be able to enroll in the Maths units after doing the bridging course?

    Physics prerequisites at MQ

Unfortunately (for me), I don't meet the Maths prereqs for taking Physics units at MQ (namely PHYS140), as I only did General Maths (good decision, given the highest mark at my school was 30% in 2 unit Maths). I've exchanged some correspondence with staff from MQ, but I haven't really gotten a...

Bridging Courses and Second Round Offers

    That's probably a good plan.

Bridging Courses and Second Round Offers

I'm hoping to get a second round offer from Sydney uni, but the offers come out after most bridging courses have started/finished, and I need to do a maths bridging course. What should I do?

    Help with Preferences

    Alright, excellent, thank you.

    Help with Preferences

I have two main preferences: 1. BSc @ USYD 2. BSc @ MQ Unfortunately, I didn't meet the ATAR cut-off for USYD (missed it by 6 points). However, I did meet the ATAR cut-off for MQ. What I want to know is, should I leave my first preference as Sydney, in hopes of getting in during the second...

    HSC Results in the Newspaper

As far as I'm aware, the only HSC results to be found in newspapers now are the Honour Roll marks. Apparently however, all the results used to be published in the newspaper. What I want to know is; 1. How the heck can you fit that many results into a newspaper? 2. When did this practice stop?

    Bread Question

This question completely threw me; we'd never done anything like it in class, and I didn't have any clue how to answer it. I just wrote some smartass answer and left it.

    General Thoughts: English Extension 1

Romanticism part was AMAZING. I have a very good feeling about that exam. Wrote 12 pages on the essay, only 6.5 for the story (but still very happy with what I wrote). Same for all of the above.

News.com.au "Teachers failing the maths grade"

We had ONE maths teacher who could actually teach, and he was only there for a few years. Our school's average maths mark in years 11 & 12 is around the 30% mark, for both general and 2 unit.

    Bandwagon me

Precisely what I'm aiming for, excellent. As far as the marks go, they should pick up. I figure given that I didn't study for my trials, that I am studying for the HSC, and that the HSC markers are looking to give me marks, my marks should go up at least a little. Plus my marks would've been...

    Bandwagon me

Seems to be all the craze, and I'll admit to being rather curious. Estimate my ATAR: Trial marks; (Adv) English: 64%, 1/12 (Ext 1) English: 56%, 3/4 (Gen) Maths: 72%, 1/32 Chemistry: 73%, 1/6 Legal Studies: 63%, 1/7 [Pretty sure we're getting special consideration in this, however]

    Are you ready?

I am nowhere near ready. I have only just today organised my analysis notes on a single scene from The Crucible, I have not even looked at any of my module essays (mind you, with the exception of my Conflicting Perspectives essay, I expect them all to be relatively easy). Between studying for...
