    YES, because the HSC results are out on my 18th birthday! So regardless of what I get, I WILL be partying.. with my marks in the back of my mind of course.

    Re: zazzy's same old question Really? I think a band 4 cut off will be around 60/65 raw mark. Considering how "easy" this exam was.

    Question 11 is not referring to photosynthesis, it is referring to transpiration (or water loss) through the stomata.

    +1 Question 1 is a dot point "Explain how mutations in DNA may lead to the generation of new alleles". The answer is C. As for Question 11, plants minimise water loss by closing their stomates, thus they do so during the time the sun peaks. It is D.

    Simple trig maths question

    what were your answers? i got @ = 45, 135, 225, 315 1 - 2 cos²@ = 0 - 2cos²@ = -1 cos²@ = 1/2 cos@ = ±1/√2 your answers will also depend on the range. e.g. 0 ≤ @ ≤ 360 hope this helps, i actually have an exam on trig tomorrow so that's what i've been doing..

    Year 11 Preliminary Practical?

    My physics experiments get graded >< I usually have: - Background info. - Aim - Hypothesis - Risk factors - Variables (independent, dependent, controlled) - Materials - Method - Diagram - Results - Graph (if needed) - Discussion (usually takes up a whole page) - Conclusion Hope that helps :)
