    Transferring courses, and then universities...?

Well I can only relate to my own experience. I tried to transfer to a uni closer to back where my parents lived and when I applied, even though my ATAR (then UAI) was quite a few points above the uai needed to get into the course I wanted to transfer into, I never got in. I called UAC up and...

    Transferring courses, and then universities...?

Remember when trying to transfer uni's your GPA and ATAR will be the determining factor and you will be in competition from others. The Non Recent School Leaver cutoff is higher than Recent School Leavers

    UWS Early Offer Email

eh maybe those who choose to stereotype UWS without having any first hand experience or facts to back up their assumptions should really take it from someone who has graduated from UWS. I graduated from UWS in 2006 (am in the middle of my MBA at Newcastle Uni at the moment). I got a job straight...

    B BUS any good?

Im not sure how many people graduate from business degrees every year, but it would be quite a lot. I got my job simply by applying for it on seek. When I had the interview they were very interested in my past experience and extra curriculars, rather than my uni experience. A uni degree was a...

    B BUS any good?

Having an edge over other people with business degrees is more about getting actual work experience in your related field what uni you went too. Someone who has done internships, work experience etc has more of an edge over someone who has none of that, no matter what uni they went too. Thats...

    B BUS any good?

I did B Business, and I'm not a "dumb lebo" or "fob". You may find that there are people of Lebenese descent or as you put it "fob", but you will find them there becuase they mostly reside in the Western part of Sydney.

    Passengers and alcohol

I got pulled over for an RBT once. My partner was in the car next to me drinking alcohol and the cops didnt say anything, but he was so drunk, that when I got RBT'ed the alcohol that was in the air registered on the breath tester. Of course it was nothing near .05

    UWS Help

Yes, I dont think they are nessesary in lectures, in fact I only saw a handfull of students have them in lectures the whole 3 years I was there. Its fine to get one for home use or to take to the library, but its quite rare you see on in a lecture.

    UWS Help

Not sure about Hawksbury, but when I was at Blacktown they have a few power outlets along the back wall of the big lecture theatre. All rooms are bound to have some power outlets, but not individual ones for every seat. I guess you will have to see where they are situated in the room and sit near it

Anyone do Nutrition at UWS Hawkesbury? or Sydney? ...

Exactly. One of my friend's is a dietician. She did B of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food, followed by a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. You also have to be accredited by the DAA. Not sure if this is done through your degree/masters

Tips for passing IBL Introduction to Business Law

What are you assignments like? When I did it in 2004, we had a court report (which was basically going to a court session and writing what we saw/answering questions about it), an actual case question (which basically was all about using the terms and stuff we had learnt and then applying real...

Whoever did the Autumn Session timetable for Communications is stupid

Even if you get a letter from your boyfriends aunt saying you lived there and paid x amount (even if you dont) for x amount of time, that can still be counted as something to back your rental history up. When I first started renting I lived I got my parents to write a letter like that saying I...

Whoever did the Autumn Session timetable for Communications is stupid

When I was going there I was paying $120 p/w for a furnished 4 bedroom villa on campus, which included utilities (had to pay for food and everything else). You could probably get a share house for that much p/w or less (depending on how many people you share with)

Whoever did the Autumn Session timetable for Communications is stupid

In all honesty, you cant really call anyone stupid becuase of this situation. 99% of students at UWS live within a decent distance to the uni, so its kind of your fault if you have to travel so far. I lived on campus at UWS and I can tell you, if you cant afford on campus, you wont be able to...

Are you guys proud/ ashamed of studying at UWS?

Agreed, marketing is all about experience. Uni was not really a factor when I went for job interviews, they were more concerned about previous work experience and my skills. My cousin is a UWS finance graduate with honors and he's actually doing quite well for himself. I think he started earning...
