Stupid question but how do you join societies/extracurriculars?

No it means that if you want to learn how to act high and be fucking useless, join arc street team. They need new people in charge of arc as they already failed to organise quite a bit of O-week stuff properly. They also have a bad system in general that is really inefficient when organising...

Stupid question but how do you join societies/extracurriculars?

Arc themselves are completely fucking useless. Join Arc to get the sticker and Arc pack itself. Other than that dw about them. Their street team are a pack of weirdos and act really high all the time but the freebies are ok. If you really want to join a society keep in contact with the...

    Mathematics for engineering

op you will need to put in a huge amount of effort in first year to keep up and a large amount of effort will be required prior to starting uni its possible bridging will not be adequate, in which case you can take a semester delay to focus on getting through first year maths by fundamentals...

    Mathematics for engineering

unsw math does a general rigorous outline of mx1 and a bit of mx2 and systems of equations in practice in sem 1 then in sem 2 it's new stuff including differential equations, vector fields, vector spaces, eigenvalues/vectors and abstract theory for systems of equations in depth including kernel...

    Scaling 2011

Its aligning not scaling. 62/84 sounds about right. 54/70 in 2013 would have gotten a 92. Similar percentages there.

    Root approximation

It seems ok in this case but remember that if the function is not continuous or is not differentiable for all x in given domain and codomain then you can't multiply it by x. However for HSC and this particular question it seems fine as you aren't going near zero where this particular function is...

    Asian parents and affection

I usually chase down my parents and squeeze them and pick them up for a spin. I always have to ask the hug and make the move but they don't mind. They are scared though one day I'll break my back from picking them up. Meh 70 kg is nothing.

This thread has gone mildly off topic.

    Too Late To Drop?

Highly doubt that's an outlier mark. Otherwise they'll give you both marks as zero and rid you from the marks there. Doubt it though. Maybe cem can give us an insight on this.

    Too Late To Drop?

Sorry I mean assessment mark not examination mark for the student coming last in your class.

    Too Late To Drop?

Please do sit the test. Otherwise the kid coming last in the class has to deal with your big fat zero as their examination mark. You have a responsibility as a fair and just person to not ruin someone else's marks. Please don't do it. Just rock up to the exam with no study. Anything is better...

Misread hsc timetable=> missed out biology exam. What's gonna happen now???:((

Unfortunately this is a terrible situation to be in and I'll avoid telling you what would happen. Report it and move on to your other exams. Not much more you could do unless you could further your case of excuse towards the exam.

Looking for Online Courses in Aerospace/Space

On regards to Aerospace, there isn't much of a market here in Australia let alone Sydney. Though you can find work here and there if you are lucky and try hard enough too. Also, the industry will be found to be filled with Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineers as well as Aerospace...

What would a raw 70 give you in HSC physics?

You can never say always for something like this because you could get a 90 raw one year but still end up with mark in the 70's! Nothing regarding raw marks is certain until the actual aligning is done by Bostes. After that, buy your paper back and find out what the raw mark cut-offs were for...

What would a raw 70 give you in HSC physics?

Last year: Chemsitry band 6 cut-off was about 76. Physics band 6 cut-off was about 83. Don't ask how but I've done my research. Also, in years prior to last year, Physics was closer to a high 80's (77/78) for a band 6 cut-off. Chemistry is usually at a cut-off around the mid-70's too for band...

Formulas that aren't on the formula sheet?

You derive them using the formulas already on the sheet or your own knowledge. Know how to apply the formulas properly though! And also remember twinkle twinkle little star power loss equals i squared r.
