Hi
does anyone know if it possible to transfer to the adfa program for engineering?
I am about to start my 2nd year of university and just recently became interested in this career option. I hope it is not too late.

Wouldn't you be a year behind in your officer training?
That would be the only thing to worry about, and fitness and stuff.

I am not sure if it is possible to do this, so I won't comment.

Instead, I will suggest this, which may be better suited to your current life (being a university, not ADFA, student):
ADF Sponsored Undergraduate

Want the opportunity to make uni life more manageable and make a difference with your degree?
Become an ADF Sponsored Undergraduate
The benefits at a glance:
  • study at the uni of your choice
  • earn a salary of up to $40,508p.a. (you earn between $20k and $40k while studying at uni, depending on what year of the degree)
  • HELP contributions paid (formerly known as HECS)
  • receive benefits like free medical and dental care.
After graduation you are:
  • an officer in the Navy, Army or Air Force
  • guaranteed a job (as in, you MUST serve for the number of years you are sponsored + 1)
  • a member of the ADF
  • receiving world-class leadership training.
