I am just wondering if anyone knows anyone who had traffic infringements and whether they were still accepted? My partner who has decided he wants to do policing was accepted into the ADPP bridging course but just got done for speeding (double demerits) and will now be on a unrestricted licence with a good behaviour period. I know what it says on the csu website about not having any offences in the preceeding 12 months but we were just wanting to know if he still has a chance, would appreaciate any information

You usually need to have a clean driving record for at least 12 months, but it doesn't hurt to speak to police recruiting, and ask them directly.

Just speaking to them won't hurt your chances in the future, because they'll (obviously) have full access to your past driving record. All it will do is give you the information you need.
