Hi all, when algebraic fractions are fully simplified should the numerator and denominator be fully factorised? Or is expanded form fine?

Factorise when you can, because you will find you may be able to simplify further.

Expanded is fine, that is that it is already fully simplified

That is my opinion also, however in some texts the answer is always left in factored form. In other texts the answer is always left in expanded form. I will stick with expanded.

Yeah markers won't care as long as it is fully simplified.
