Just what would you do? like if you had to do A Streetcar Named Desire on a modern stage... what would you do and why... like would you use this and that to make it symbolic and why. and does this and that relate to the themes and issues that are brought up in the play?

Think about changing audiences and purposes.

What has changed about modern audiences?

Example : Due to modern pop culture they obviously aren't as easily shocked as they once were. The rape scene may have been very confronting when Streetcar was first produced, but isn't now because of desensitised modern audiences.

So, what theatrical techniques could you use to make it shocking and confronting? Do you want it to be shocking and confronting?
