so far i have got psychology for community work. i need one for autumn session and i;m wandering what anyone else has.

(btw, is there any short cut to finiding units that are level 1?)

Is any any elective, or a professional elective?

If its any elective, best to choose one from the school of social sciences.

It doesn't need to be level 1 i don't think.

Hi!

Seeing as though ur in first year, its best to to stick to level 1 units as they are more introductory and foundational. However, that said some unit coordinators are lenient and will give you approval (You need them to sign a form or something like that).

Seeing as they you are doing a psych course and your looking for electives. I would recommend anything from social sciences and bio medical sciences. It could be health science. I would try to stray away from anything science realted and try to include some sociology based subjects which will complement psychology very well. Some units that you may want to look at doing are as follows:

101367.1 Non-Verbal Communication
101351.1 Health and Personality
101352.1 Mind, Body and Emotion
400087.2 Applied Critical Methods
400280.2 Sexuality
101368.1 Relationship Studies
400089.2 Social Psychology and Human Nature
101370.1 Power, Control and Decision Making
101325.1 Children, Wellbeing and Society
400086.2 Adulthood and Ageing
101366.1 Interpersonal Interaction
101365.1 Group Interaction
101322.1 Family Life, Health and Leisure
101369.1 Statistical Knowledge and Social Power
400164.1 Introduction to Sociology of Health
400088.2 Critical Qualitative Research
101323.1 Culture, Health and Healing in Indigenous Communities
101324.1 Culture, Health and Social Change
101319.1 Drugs, Addiction and Society
101325.1 Children, Wellbeing and Society
101352.1 Mind, Body and Emotion
400086.2 Adulthood and Ageing
400087.2 Applied Critical Methods
101333.1 Sociology of Peace and Conflict

You need to check uit levels and if they are offered in autumn/spring and you also need to realise some units may already be full.

I def know that sexuality although states as full will be adding some extra tuts as numbers have blown out and they are in the middle of adding a few more tuts. I tutor the unit and have had first year students before, you just need to check it out with the unit coordinator. Its a level 3 unit and its a great subject.
