Click to expand... Pretty sure they use the average when they calculate the ATAR. So b6 is probably average aswell

I have had a number of students over the years who got over 90 for their external exam mark but they didn't get Band 6 because they weren't ranked first, or high enough, to get the assessment mark up to 90 so no Band 6.
