I think the opening ceremony will be pretty hectic, Chinese and there firecrackers and all. US will take away most medals again, followed by perhaps China, I rekon Aust might come in third this year (well most likely top 5). I just want to see people get hurt in the sports, like hurdles.

Hmmm...I'm not so optimistic about Australia's medal prospects. I've seen projections that suggest the friggin' United Kingdom will beat us

They should divide the medal tally by the number of people living in each nation. :)

lol. I heard the Chinese government talking about admitting foreign media into their country. They were like "we haven't yet decided if we are going to allow foreign media, but if we do choose to allow them in, any sign of trouble and you're in jail".

It was good shit. I love the way the Chinese have taken a hard stance.

I don't like China at all and the Olympics don't really interest me that much anyway... so I won't be keeping up with it too much.

Supposedly steroid use will be rife in the Beijing Olympics. Doesn't surprise me.

I can't see why even Olympics lovers would be interested in this Olympics, TBH.

I don't need to go there. I already know everything I need to know to make my decision.

What's wrong with not liking China. There are plenty of good reasons.
