I don't think you can say whether one book is the "best". You should use two textbooks and draw on the better features of each and gain a diversity of examples and perspective on biology.

Personally, Heinemann PLUS one other listed there will be an excellent resource for High School Biology.

i use biology in context.. its ok covers dot points
thats all that matters right...
there is not one book thats better than the other..
its mainly preference..
Biology in context goes a bit deeper than neccesary but i like reading irrelavant stuff... Lol

thnakyou for that survivor. so your saying that i should have allowed for more than one choices to be made in the poll. it sounds good but i dont know how to do it.
Using 2 resources would be nice but wouldnt it be alright if u have ur school work, a textbook plus notes from BoS website.

No maquarie study guide? That's pretty good for revision, I prefer it to excel because it explains the prac dot points.

Heineman - very good.

Bio in context - lots of information but not as clearly 'dot-point' sorted as others. It's great for researching stuff in more detail.

Success one - vital for exam revision.
