Hey i was just wondering if anyone has tried the home waxing kits? I usually go to the salon to get it done, but im going on holidays for a month and i'll have to do it myself. I just wanted to know if they were as effective?

By the way, do guys prefer bald or the landing strip?

I once plucked all my pubic hair out by hand (it was long enough). It's not hard really. You just work from the outside in. It hurts the first few pinchfuls, but it gets easier as you go along. Eventually I worked my way to a real smooth groin. Unfortunately, nobody but myself got a chance to look at my master piece. (The painful parts though, are hairs which have grown around and on the base of the penis. Plucking those can be quite painful.)

I would never do it myself, the only way id do it is if i was drunk! I dont think i could stand the pain!!! Ive tried shaving and it just itches like crazy!! So cant imagine waxing!

well, yes and no.

i remember when i first started shaving my legs they itched, but after a while it stopped.

i was brazillian waxing for ages and i think my skin got used to there not being hair, so when i shaved it, never itched.

i use a fresh disposable razor every time because if its not REALLY sharp you can get nasty razor burn.

to be honest, i dont think a brazillian is any more necessary than an underarm wax. you can shave them both.

house: I don't like untamed hairy, but I think nicely trimmed is good. Hairless is like "meh, okay." Also I don't see why shaving would be that bad. I don't wax my face and neck. Sharp razor + good shaving gel + aftershave (well, maybe just water for pubic area) is fine.
