I"m confused with this because in my note, SO2 and CO2 are used as counter-examples of Davy's definition of acids.
Davy observed that all known acids contain H that can be replaced by reacting with a metal
But he failed because CO2 and SO2 are also acidic

depends in what equation. if they are donating then yes if not then no

to prove something is an acid u must be able to show that it is a proton donor when it dissolves in a solvent xD thats all u gotta do

lewis, yes

any bronsted lowry acid is a lewis acid
