The Diploma of Communication will have the exact same cores (with the addition of CAPP 100 Communication for Academic and Professional Purposes) as the other B Media degrees.

Since you can't directly transfer into a B Media in Multimedia, you'll probably have to go through the B Arts, B Media in Screen, or B Int Comm.

B Media in Multimedia

If you meet the criteria below submit your application to the Head of Department of Media

· at least 18 credit points

· completed MAS104 (Cr/B) and MAS105 (Cr/B)

· overall gpa of 3.0

That's the transfer needed to get into the B Media in Multimedia. If you talk to the Media department,

Media Department

phone: 02 9850 8786

fax: 02 9850 6776

website: www.media.mq.edu.au

email: media@scmp.mq.edu.au

Then you may be able to work out a scenario of directly transferring from the B Media in Screen Production to the B Media in Multimedia.

As for the course itself:

1st year, all Media students do the same subjects, MAS104, CUL100 for 1st Semester and MAS105 for 2nd Semester. While MAS104 is fairly easy, CUL100 and MAS105 are quite dificult if your writing/english skills aren't up to scratch, it won't mean you'll fail, but if you can't get direct transfer from the B Media in Screen Production, you'll need to satisfy the Credit GPA, the 3.0.

2nd Year, you do 2 production units, which means you get to work with the practical side as well as the theoretical. 3rd Year is a little more of this.

That's the outline of the program, you can click on each of the subjects to see a short description of them.

Sweetheart,

Course descriptions and prescribed units are easily found by typing in "Macquarie University" and the course name into the google search engine (this is actually the quickest way to do it, believe it or not).

Read all the different course descriptions, look up their prescribed units to see what things you'll have to study, and make your decisions from there.

However should you attempt to ask opinions of BOSmembers, here are a few suggestions for the future:

* Please don't delete threads simply to add a smiley on top. It's unneccessary (particularly when you could have just edited it) and when people's extended replies to your questions get lost because of trivial things like it, it doesn't bode well. Ok? :)

*Let us not be too demanding of our replies... if people wish to respond, they will. :)

Have a nice day!

Easy, we don't have a Visual Communication or Media Communication course.

If you want to do purely graphic design, then COFA would probably be best for you or the UWS Visual Communication degree.
