this is incorrect
it lowers activation energy, and speeds up reaction rate :p

In an exam they asked for a discription of how catalysts operate and diagrams to support your answer. what diagrams would you draw??

i dont think they would, but if they did, you could draw the little activation energy ciagram, drawing two liens, with one being lower at its apex to imply the use of a catalyst.

had i not read this i wouldda tried drawing a surface with proes through it and little molecules adsorbing to it :)
