Well Vietz is rite bout one thing.... comparin it 2 the last 3 years, that was easy!

But time was my enemy and half of Q7. I expected a killer but it wasnt as hard as doin freakin simpsons and volume (its easy now but b4 i was stumped)

BUT THE EXAM WASNT EASY!

Also the sphere question was easy!

Also Vietz do i know u from somewhere???? U aint that Korean guy from my skool are u?

What did people get for the sphere one?

seems like my school edited the paper rather heavily as half the questions mentioned weren't in my test

i got 3/8 for the sphere ques...
but ino lotta ppl who got 1/8

weird..
hope im not wrong

i let circumference = c
so change in equator is dc/dt

uno dv/dt = 25

and i worked out dc/dv = 3/200

25 x 3/200 = 3/8

*shrugs*

u guys used volume of sphere = 4/3(Pi)r^3 right?
coz if u did v=4(Pi)r^3, then u'd get 1/8

I thought it was pretty okay considering wat CSSA trialz are normally like. I hate 3a), took me like 10 mins..but i got it in the end. I just fund out that i FULLY stuffed up in the sphere question..it used the equator as the diameter..(dumb me).
And then the last SHM quetsion asking for time taken to get to O..im bloody trying t formulaes when it was a simple trig eq. Other then that, 7ai) was tricky but i amnged the induction and iii and b was pretty doable but a silly mistake meant i lose at least 3 of the 6 marks.

Overall it hought i was pretty good.

speaking of which, the guy that said that they havent done the topic of calculus... thats a major topic to learn b4 the HSC

u idiots, the last SHM question u just had to sub in x=0 to the equation u were given, cause if u subed in time = 0 it started at x=3, the sin0 was 0 and the cos0 was one, so it was pretty easy if thats how u were supposed to do it

i couldnt do dat projectile Quesiton seond part.... was it like when the two y's are equal?
for dat trig question i could only get up to c^2 = bd - 2ac
and how do u do the f(a+b) question??
omg hope i passed.....

Do you guys get to keep the question paper for any of the Catholic Trials? I haven't done my 3u paper yet and thought it would be good practice...quite a lot of my friends do the Catholic paper and the general agreement from them was that it was hard.

ivr had another go at the sphere ques
i think there r 2 ways of doing it.

If u find dr/dt and times it by 2Pi u get 1/8

Or if u find dc/dt (c=circimference) u get 3/8

I think both answers should b correct. The reason they're diff is coz the value of dv/dt they gave u may not be realistic.
