I mean i don't think people sitting the HSC are that stupid to put their HSC in jeopardy for cheating.
I think that we'd all be surprised about the number of people who may consider doing it. I for one wouldn't, I mean, you could claim to have had a rotten dinner the night before and that you are making more runs than Tendulkar, but sound effects would be hard. Plus, where would you put your notes that would not be noticeable? I know that there have been suggestions here, but is it all readlly worth it? The hassle of taking it in, spending time in the John, reading it, putting it away, so it is not obvious, then going back and replecating it? All for just a few marks? It is all stupid in my opinion.

I have to have a bit of a laugh at the first post of this topic, admit if you have cheated in a HSC assessment, lol. Who is going to own up?

Someone a cant name cheated in a year i cant name during an exam i cant name. But i am good friends with this person.

They went to the bathroom and called there relative who had completed the HSC already and they gave him/her all the information he needed.

I was like wow.

I havent cheated, but seriously if someone presented me with a way of cheating where i wouldnt get caught, i probably would.

Because im ruthless, and will do whatever it takes to succeed.

Wouldn't their voice have been amplified, given it's the bathroom and all? I suppose teachers don't escort people to the bathroom during HSC exams in this person's school then...

Yeah well this person did it at tafe.
And the person texted his sister and she called him back, and he didnt speak.

Aren't you supposed to hand in your mobile phone before the test? We had to for the half yearlies. Unless, he smuggled it in? Damn some people are cunning.

ive heard some people put their notes in a plastic bag and shove it into the tank at the top of the toilet.
i really wouldnt see the point of smuggling notes into the toilet, unless you want to spend half your exam in there and probably only complete 60% of the exam.

Yeah, I'm the same way. If I could come up with an effective and sophisticated way of cheating where chances of getting caught were minimal to none, I'd implement it pronto.

Does anyone here have proven and well-tested ways in which they have cheated? If so, please provide details of your scheme.

Thank you.
Yeah, im the same with everything, i like you already lol

Just bribe all the HSC markers. Be quite a task.

NOTE: For those of you without a sense of humour, that was a joke, I don't seriously condone bribery of any kind.

Easiest way to cheat used to be just the get somebody else to sit the exam for you.

But as for this whole "hiding notes and then looking at them" stuff, it's just not realistic. I mean, think about it. What could possibly be on a few sheets of paper that you don't already know. Besides, even that sort of stuff will only *maybe* help you in multiple choice, as everything else is based on how well you answer the question.

As for your original question; I know a girl who got busted for plagiarism. It was in the paper and everything:

The point is, cheating is actually quite hard to implement properly. Sure, we've all thought of ways of smuggling papers into/near the exams, or txting etc, but that would mean less time to acutally write stuff. i find that in assessments i tend to spend nearly all the time writing or thinking of what to write. i seriously would have severe problems finishing the test if i had to take, say, 3 toilet breaks. So not exactly that viable (though I know people who write, normal size, 10 pages in 50 minutes, so......). And I know, quality over quantity. But as my economics teacher says, if he sees a half page essay in 40 minutes, then it's bound not to be marked as well.

But if I could, I would. Hey, I'm aware of my limitations, and those few sheets of paper would probably save my marks... And I'm talking about the bulk of the exams, that art of essay writing (and reports, letters, stories etc.)

But yeah, just get some guy to sit the exam for you :p much easier than cheating!

why would you put more stress on yourself?

uve got ur exam to worry about, strssin over getting caught cheating while ur on a toilet break isn't going to help u get marks (or ur sanity).
