First you start a this thread "why do teh o-days clash?", then people respond "because you can visit them all in 1 day", then you're like "That sux0rs cuz I have to travel 6 hours to get there", then me and shuter own you "Wouldn't that be a good thing that you only have to travel once?", so you make up some stupid story about how you're staying down here for like 3 days (like it matters?).

If the information you revealed in later posts is corrolated next to your original posts we come to the conclusion that you are an absolute wang.

There, there.

No need to be so uppety. If you took your Howard mentality off for a bit, you'd see that they all my statments make sense (nowhere did I say I couldn't stay down in Sydney).

Given this, and your degree, I'd say you'd make a fine MP for Howard's new monarchy.

Good luck to you, sir.

No.. They don't.
Lets take a trip down memory lane.

=============================================================

What's the deal with different universities having their open days on the same day? (USYD/UTS, F.E)
Translation:
Question: Why do universities have open days on the same day as each other?
Answer: So that you can go to both usyd and uts on the same day, u wont spend more than 2-3 hours at each....

But doesn't it make sense to have them on different days?
Translation
Question: Shouldn't they be on different days?
Answer: No, There's no reason why they should. Being on the same day makes sense given that they are so close to one another.

See, it's harder for me 'cause I'm not from Sydney. Living in Coffs Harbour and having to catch a train for 6 hours to Sydney, it's hard hopping between campuses.
Translation:
Statement: I live in coffs harbour so it's harder for me.
Reply: No it's not, it's easier cuz u only have to make your 6 hour trip on 1 day.

*facepalm*

I'm staying over a couple of days.
If they were a day apart, that would be tops.
Translation
*Angry I got owned*
Statement: I'm going to be in Sydney for a couple of days, so if they spread them out it would be tops.
Reply: Since you can do them all in half a day rather comfortably, there's no real difference, unless you planned on talking to people for 3 hours (which they wont let you do).

Why resort to irrelevant and political attacks?

The universities actually contact each other to arrange for the open days to be on the same days, so that people dont have to make the trek twice, especially for those ppl living far away from Sydney. Thats the whole point, to make it easier for people.

Usyd runs all the lectures twice, once in the morning, once in the afternoon. And once you have been to your relevant info sessions, had a look around, and grabbed as many brochures as possible, you will be tired. You wont need to spend more than a few hours at each uni. Usyd also runs busses from Central, so you dont even have to walk, you can just cross the road from UTS and get a bus.

Here's the main point of contention.

Re-translation:
Statement: I live in coffs harbour so it's harder for me

To know where the fuck to go. The emphasis wasn't on the trip taking me 6 hours to make, but on the fact that I lived so far away. Had I lived 1 or 2 hours from Sydney, I was bound to know my way around.

That's all it is. No more, no less. But, no, Mr. Liberal had to turn it into an arguement.

How did not knowing where to go have any bearing on your original question, which was "Why are they on the same day". Even after people told you it was so you could go to both of them in the same day, you still questioned as to why they both weren't on the same day.

Conclusion: you are a moron.

Case Closed.

they are competing with each other

why not have it on the same day, that way those who are keen on actually going to that uni next yr will show up, instead of having ppl turn up for free shit

you wont spend a whole day at uts/usyd anyway.
you go there take info, talk to people, grab free stuff (lol) and enjoy the atmosphere/entertainment.

It gets kinda boring..

Why you would want to spend a day in one is beyond me.

Additionally, theyre a bus ride away from each other, not that bad, you could easily do UTS>UNSW>USYD in one day
