So today I got my trial back and I got 98% :D
I now have an official internal percentage of 98% too :) :)
My school is 114th and has 57 kids doing cafs .. I'm ranked 1st

Think I can state rank? Not sure how it works exactly, but I'd like to think I could ....

Possibly but it's hard to say, there's not a lot of information on CAFS and to get a state rank, external performance is most important.

Given that you're first, your external performance will ultimately determine if you receive a state rank or not.

It's not clear cut if you will or not...but you definitely have the potential to perform well enough externally for a state rank :)

As has already been said, its possible, but its very difficult to give you a solid answer. I would say that if you replicate your trial mark externally, you would probably have a good chance at a state rank.

No way :L Average was well below that ~ 60 something %
School has a lot of hsc markers for standard and advanced etc that marked our papers
We had a few top 20 ranks for standard last year, and managed to pull a few band 6's

Possibly, I know 2 state ranks and another B6er in Standard - they worked hard to the ground and made their essays all pretty much 100% essays.

It's hard to say due to the limited information but I don't think 88.5% is enough for a state rank in Standard.

I didn't think it would be .. I was on 90% prior to trials .. The oral assessment to start year 12 messed me up :L Only got 12/15 ( 80%) and subsequently it's been a struggle ever since lol

Aim for it anyway, you've obviously got the potential to.

Hey if you've got 1st ranks in snr, standard and cafs, you have the potential if you perform externally. Just do the best you can.

Well that's interesting to know! I'm hopeful .. I'd love to get all state ranks, but a 90 something average or there abouts wont do it lol

I mean that in terms of previous scores required to obtain them .. Obviously I'll be trying with 3 subjects over 95%, but I couldn't imagine the immense task of actually obtaining 5 or 6 state ranks
