Hey guys, if you are doing/have done a UNSW Computer Science course;

1) What UAI did you get?
2) If your UAI was below 88, how did you get into the course?
3) Did you apply for FEAS?
4) What was the lowest UAI that gained entry into the course for that year?

I anticipate my UAI to be around the 80 mark, with an extra 5 points from EAS (Educational Access Scheme), which makes my selection rank 85. Will I have a chance to get in with a UAI of 80 (Course Selection Rank 85) ?

On top of the EAS, I also applied for FEAS, and performed quite well in my interview. Does FEAS give bonus points? If so, how much.

The cutoff for UNSW Computer Science for 2009 is 88.00. All replies are appreciated. Thanks.

70 is a bit of stretch, may have been some isolated cases?

1. 95? 96? cant remember...
2. 3. No and No
4. No idea

Agree with Sunny, getting in with uai of 70s is too much of an exaggeration. Well, first of all, UAI is not a clear indication of your ability. All you need from it is to get into uni, other than that its useless.

I have seen people with 95+ uai failing courses. Sigh ... even people with scholarship are failing courses .... so unfair ... just because im an international student, im not qualified to get a scholarship

SIGH ...

hmm, thanks for the replies.

I stuffed up big time, and my UAI is 74.35, 79.35 after EAS is applied. Do I still have a chance? lolz

don't forget alternative pathways, and after a year you may a clearer idea of what to expect in studying for uni.

Good luck.
