Hi i am currently writing a essay for Maestro and am using this quote...“The brilliant furnace of the rising sun; the huge clouds that ruddered the sky. In every direction the rain could be seen falling: vast, distant cubes of water dripping slowly, ponderously out of the sky.” Pg 10 BUT i am having difficulties of distinguishing what kind of langugae technique is used here?
Help would be much appreciated! :D

metaphor. Vast distant cubes, that is a metaphor, because he is saying that water is in the form of cubes, which they aren't they just seem that way,
Most of the techniques in maestro are metaphors and similes and descriptive language.
