Yes they do check for your current ID card so as to offer free entry, or discounted admission price.

if you have a unsw id, they check it so they can let you in for free
if you have some other id from university/tafe, they charge at a cheap price ($5) or something
and for the general public, its $10
damn i cant use ot unsw student card anymore

well then YOU THOUGHT WRONG ... I'm pretty sure UNSW parties have happned in other places ... like cruises and stuff, but yeah if its tommorow night I'm definitely gonna make the effort.

Altho if you're after the real wild stuff, I hear those 7-8 actuarial lectures are off the hook ..

errr.....the parties that were held on cruises were organised by the faculty (ie commerce, law)
i think the start, mid and end of semester parties are held at the roundhouse
