1. Yes. But you'll also have to major in either Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics or Economic History as the other major.

2. You can, to an extent.
The requirements for Eco/Arts is 132 Eco CP's and 108 Arts CP's
For Eco:
36CP for Core 1st year
48CP for 2nd+3rd year Eco major
30CP for Accounting major (ACCT1501 and 1511 already counted in core CP's)
= 114 CP
means you have 18CP left, or 3 subjects.

3. You can enrol in them as "non-award" and I think thats full fee (because its over the CP for your combined degree. Or, you could do a Master of Commerce and do it there.

4. At UNSW for CA
ACCT1501
ACCT1511
ACCT2522/2532
ACCT2542/2552
ACCT3563/3573
ACCT3583/3593
ACCT3708/3718
LEGT1711
LEGT2721
LEGT2741
LEGT2751
FINS1613

you get them on your academic statement yes, but I don't know if its covered by HECS since its over your degree CP's.

yes, those courses enable you to get accepted into the CA postgrad program (the CA is a postgraduate degree and upon completion of that, you become a CA)

does that mean everyone who does accounting enrols in non award? since we can only do 8 accounting courses in the degree, whereas, when i was reading that booklet, i counted about 14 courses which needed to be done in order to gain professional recognition.
eek...i'm confused!

actually, i recounted it again, and for CA u only need to do 10 courses.
so...
7 of them, u actually do as part of your double major,
2 of them, u choose from your free options
and as for the other one, you can overload it i think, ie. do 5 courses in one semester instead of the usual 4.

So i don't think you need to enrol in non-award.
